French toast is ideal for a rich breakfast to be prepared with the classic recipe or stuffed with apples or red fruit.

In this recipe you will discover how to prepare Japanese French toast, with the addition of Matcha tea, the Japanese green tea rich in beneficial properties.

Here we have used the Panettone by the Slice instead of bread, but this idea is great for recycling the leftover panettone leftover!

  • 1 Panettone by the slice Mandarin
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 25g Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Matcha tea powder
  • Butter
  • Azuki jam
  • Whipped cream without sugar
  • Icing sugar
 
Directions
Sift the matcha tea powder into a bowl, add the eggs and milk and mix until the ingredients are combined well.
Cut the panettone slice crosswise and cut in the center to form a pocket.

Leave the slices to rest until they are completely soaked.
Melt the butter in a pan.
Place the panettone slices and let them fry until they are well browned.
Cut the browned slices at the height of the pocket and place the slices on a plate.
Combine the azuki jam, whipped cream and sprinkle with icing sugar.
